Roger Niello, president and CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber, will brief Davis Chamber members about the Next Economy Capital Region Prosperity Plan at Tuesday’s Chamber luncheon.

The lunch is open to members and nonmembers and runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis. Tickets are $18 for members and $25 for nonmembers and may be purchased at www.DavisChamber.com or by calling the Chamber office at 530-756-5160.

Over the next five years, the Next Economy movement promises 35,000 new jobs and $5.3 billion in economic output in the capital region, a Chamber news release said.

“Davis is particularly well-positioned to thrive in the Next Economy, which envisions a capital region widely regarded as a sought-after place for business growth, investment and entrepreneurship, and a desirable place for a quality workforce and young professionals to live, study, work, play and contribute,” the release said.

The luncheon sponsor is OptTown, a mobile app that connects users to their favorite local businesses. OptTown will be signing businesses up for free, personalized demonstrations.
