By From page A9 | November 01, 2013

Once again this fall, the Davis school district is offering a fee-based SAT preparation workshop, which will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 13 and 20 and Dec. 4 in Room N-9 at Davis High School. The campus is at 315 W. 14th St.

The workshop is designed to prepare high school students for the SAT college entrance exam, which tests grammar and usage, reading comprehension of short passages and content from third-year high school math.

The workshop will include a review of vocabulary and math concepts, when to make an educated guess and how to pace yourself. Instruction will allow for small groups and individual support.

Dec. 7 is one of the SAT’s examination dates this year.

The course, which is offered through the Davis Adult and Continuing Education School, costs $85. A 50 percent refund will be available if requested one week before class begins if a student who signs up is unable to take the course.
