Save-A-Life Saturday at Farmers Market

By From page A5 | March 12, 2014

March is Red Cross Month, and representatives from the American Red Cross Capital Region will visit Davis as part of its Save-A-Life Saturdays. The annual tradition offers free hands-only CPR training sessions and automated external defibrillator demonstrations.

The Save-A-Life crew will be at the Davis Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in Central Park, Fourth and C streets. In addition to hands-only CPR and AED, Red Cross volunteers will have information about how to plan for disasters, including how to put together a disaster kit and how to make an emergency plan with your family. Special disaster activities for kids also will be offered.

Community members who complete the CPR training session, or who visit three out of the four disaster booths, will be entered into a drawing for an emergency preparedness kit.
