School board takes up lean agenda on Thursday

By From page A3 | July 31, 2013

The Davis school board meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Chambers at Davis City Hall, 23 Russell Blvd. All items on the agenda are either to be discussed in closed session, or presented on the consent calendar. There are no items listed on the main presentation/discussion/action session.

The closed-session list includes a handful of summer hires; amendments and modifications to school websites and social media, instructional materials and other topics; updates to the district’s athletic handbook for coaches, students and parents; and ratification of the parcel tax rates and community services district rates for the coming year, which were approved by the school board at an earlier meeting.

It is possible that one or more of these consent calendar items will be pulled for discussion in open session.

As always, there will also be an agenda item for public comment.

The meeting will be carried live on Davis cable Channel 17, and as streaming video at www.djusd.tv.
