Montessori ‘living legend’ to speak at Birch Lane

By From page A10 | February 01, 2012

Birch Lane Elementary School invites the Davis community to a presentation by Judi Bauerlein, a Montessori education pioneer who has trained many Montessori teachers, including several in Birch Lane’s program. Bauerlein, who was named a “Living Legend” by the American Montessori Society in 2010, will speak at the school on Tuesday, Feb. 21, beginning at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room, 1600 Birch Lane.

The program is sponsored by the Montessori Parent Advisory Committee. Parents of the district’s incoming kindergartners are particularly encouraged to attend in order to learn more about the Montessori option.
