North Davis Elementary School first-graders, from left, Harry Jiang and Mick Dunning look at the set of commemorative tiles that were dedicated Thursday in memory of North Davis second-grader John Henderson, who died in December after falling from a chairlift during a ski trip. The colorful tiles were made by classmates, family and friends, including one large tile that features a glazed rendering of a picture that was drawn by John. The tiles were dedicated as part of a year-end outdoor ceremony at the school, with remarks by Principal Ramon Cusi and others. John’s parents were present, and said they were very touched by the project. Sue Cockrell/Enterprise photo
