The Davis Adult School is offering a five-week class in nutrition/life skills for adults with developmental disabilities, starting Wednesday. The class will meed on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room E-36 at Holmes Junior High, 1220 Drexel Drive.
Instructor Alyssa Wallace will show students how to cook and enjoy complete, healthy meals. Students will come away from the course with adapted recipes that can be used independently or with support.
Students also will learn to use products, gadgets and methods to simply the cooking process. The class will emphasize good nutrition and cooking safety.
There is a $75 fee, which includes the cost of food used in class.
