The last Sutter Davis Farmers Market of the season will take place Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance to the hospital, 2000 Sutter Place in West Davis. Plenty of free parking is available.
Market items and producers include grapes, peaches, plums, pluots and nectarines from Neufeld Farms in Kingsburg; assorted summer produce from Chavez Farms in Esparto; figs and Asian melons from Food Tree Field Organic Farm in Meridian; vine-ripened tomatoes, peaches, potatoes, onions, garlic, greens and other produce from Toledo Farms in Lodi; award-winning, extra virgin olive oil from Grumpy Goats Farm in Capay Valley; honey from Sola Bee Farms in Woodland; local eggs from Isolte Farms in Esparto; plus whole grain breads, cookies and apple tarts from Upper Crust Bakery in Davis.
The hospital’s market accepts EBT cards, WIC and senior coupons. Shoppers with no cash in hand may purchase market scrip using debit or credit cards.
The Sutter Davis Hospital Farmers Market will reopen next May.
