Senior homeowners may apply for Measure C exemption

By From page A5 | March 28, 2012

Davis senior citizens who own the home they live in may apply for an exception to Measure C, the school parcel tax that was recently approved by local voters.

Forms for the Measure C senior exemption — as well as other senior exemptions for CFD No. 1 and Measure A — are available online at http://www.djusd.net/district/business/senior-exemptions/?searchterm=exemption.

Forms are also available at the Davis school district’s business office at 526 B St. in Davis. For more information, call (530) 757-5300, ext. 122.

The application form for Measure C must be filed between May 15 and June 15. Seniors applying for the exemption will need to show a document proving that they are at least 65 years old (birth certificate, driver’s license, etc.) and provide evidence that they own the home in which they live (a copy of the county tax bill, a copy of the title report, etc.)
