Service academy information available at two sessions

Students who want to learn more about the U.S. service academies, and how to apply for an appointment to an academy, are invited to attend one of two upcoming information nights hosted by the office of Rep. John Garamendi, D-Walnut Grove.

The sessions are for students who live in the 3rd Congressional District and their families. They will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the theater room at Vacaville High School, 100 W. Monte Vista Ave. in Vacaville, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the annex room at the Yuba City Office of Education, 970 Klamath Lane in Yuba City.

In addition to staff members from Garamendi’s office, representatives of the Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, Coast Guard Academy and Merchant Marine Academy will attend.
