Sounds like science

The city of Davis Community Services Department presents Mad Science and its “Sounds Like Science” show at 2 p.m Saturday, March 19, at the Veterans’ Memorial Theater, 203 E. 14th St.

This program is designed to inspire children about science, with a focus on the science of sound. Demonstrations include a dinosaur-in-a-can, a glowing electric pickle and a kid-created thunderstorm.

Advance tickets are $7 general and $5 for children 12 and under, available at the Community Services Department at City Hall, 23 Russell Blvd.; The Avid Reader, 617 Second St.; Armadillo Music, 205 F St.; and Dimple Records, 212 F St. A convenience fee is charged at Armadillo and Dimple.

Tickets at the door will be $8 for all ages.
