Speakers will focus on water project, Davis Dollars

Eric Nelson, vice president of the Stonegate Country Club, will speak about the club’s innovative water conservation project during a fundraising event for Davis City Council candidate Brett Lee on Friday at the club, 919 Lake Blvd.

Other speakers include Lamar Heystek, former City Council member, and Nicholas Barry, director of Davis Dollars.

“The Club’s water re-use project represents the kinds of things we can do in Davis to wisely manage our precious water,” Lee said in a news release. “Also, we want to spotlight the creative approach of Davis Dollars in the local economy.”

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature music by the Dick Livingston Combo, with vocals by Sandy Coldirion and percussion by Rich Livingston. The event, which also includes refreshments and a raffle, has a suggested minimum donation of $25.
