By From page A2 | April 03, 2014

The Friends of the Davis Public Library will have its next bimonthly book sale starting Friday at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Friends members only will be admitted between noon and 2 p.m. Friday, but shoppers may join at the door. Public hours continue from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Purchases may be by cash or credit/debit cards. On Sunday, shoppers are invited to bring their own bags and fill them with books for $5 per bag.

The spring sale features a large selection of books on Buddha along with many “vintage” books. A number of books from the collection of Dr. Kenneth Watts will be presented on a special table for perusal and purchase. Many cover history, politics, math and science. There is always an ample supply of children’s books, too.

Membership applications for the Friends of the Davis Public Library will be available at the door on online at http://davislibraryfriends.org. Membership includes bimonthly postcard reminders of the books sales, which can be turned in at each book sale for $4 off purchases.
