St. James hosts annual Wine-Tasting Festival

By From page A4 | February 23, 2014

The 11th annual St. James Wine-Tasting Festival will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the St. James Memorial Center, 1275 B St. in Davis.
Wine-tasting will be available from approximately a dozen regional wineries. Guests will have an opportunity to explore fun and educational wine activities, enjoy an array of culinary delights from local restaurants, hear live music and peruse an exhibit by local artists.
This annual social event embraces the parish and the Davis community and serves as a fundraiser for the Memorial Center debt. The St. James ministries, the St. James School, Davis community charities and outreach events use the Memorial Center. The center also allows St. James to participate in the annual Davis Interfaith Rotating Shelter and the Celebration of Abraham.
Tickets are available after each service this weekend and during office hours at the St. James Pastoral Office or at the St. James School Office. Tickets cost $30 per person or $35 at the door. For more information, contact Gloria Widner at [email protected].
