Sudwerk uncaps two specialty beers

By From page A4 | February 20, 2014

Sudwerk Brewing Co. will release the first two of its limited Brewers Cut series at a free event Friday in its taproom.
The release party runs from from 4 to 8 p.m. and features Diddly Flanders — a barrel-fermented sour (6.75 percent alcohol by volume) — and California Wild Péche Saison — a Belgian-style tart fermented a second time in a petite sirah French oak barrel (6.5 percent alcohol by volume).
These specialty beers are brewed in small batches and aged in wine or bourbon barrels. Each 500-ml bottle is hand labeled, wax-dipped and signed by the brewer.
The brewery offered its first rare beer membership in December and it sold out within days. However, small quantities of the bottles are available to the public at The Dock, 2001 Second St.

The draft availability is rare as well. Just nine cases of the bottles and nine 5-gallon kegs were produced of each beer.
