Farm-fresh produce; local honey, eggs and olive oil; flowers, plants and garden starts; and baked goods — they’re all for sale at the weekly Sutter Davis Hospital Farmers Market. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays at the shady entrance to the hospital, 2000 Sutter Place in West Davis.
Market items include Asian melons from Food Tree Field Organic Farm in Meridian; award-winning, extra virgin olive oil from Grumpy Goats Farm in Capay Valley; assorted summer produce from Chavez Farms in Esparto; local eggs from Isolte Farms in Esparto; honey from Sola Bee Farms in Woodland; blackberries and blackberry jam, pies and crisps from The Collins Farm in Davis; apple pie, breads and cookies from Upper Crust Bakery in Davis; apricots, peaches, plums and nectarines from Neufeld Farms in Kingsburg; and vine-ripe tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, potatoes, onions, garlic, greens and other produce from Toledo Farms in Lodi.
The hospital’s market accepts EBT cards, WIC and senior coupons. Shoppers with no cash in hand can purchase market scrip using debit or credit cards.
