Shoppers will find summer produce galore and more at the Sutter Davis Hospital Farmers Market on Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market takes place at the hospital’s shaded entrance, 2000 Sutter Place.

Small-farm vendors at this market also offer local honey, eggs and olive oil, flowers, plants and garden starts. The Collins Farm in Davis also sells blackberries, jams, blackberry pies and crisps, and Upper Crust Bakery of Davis sells whole-grain breads, cookies and apple tarts.

Market items include grapes, peaches, plums, and nectarines from Neufeld Farms in Kingsburg; Asian melons from Food Tree Field Organic Farm in Meridian; award-winning, extra virgin olive oil from Grumpy Goats Farm in Capay Valley; assorted summer produce from Chavez Farms in Esparto; local eggs from Isolte Farms in Esparto; honey from Sola Bee Farms in Woodland; and vine-ripe tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, potatoes, onions, garlic, greens and other produce from Toledo Farms in Lodi.

The hospital’s market accepts EBT cards, WIC and senior coupons. Shoppers with no cash in hand may purchase market scrip using debit or credit cards.
