Reporter Jeff Hudson says: It is not immediately clear precisely how much money the district would receive under Prop. 38, and I believe it would take a while (several months, maybe a year) before the money would reach the school district. Whereas the cuts that happen if Prop. 30 fails will happen right away.

If Prop. 38, Prop. 30 AND Measure E pass: Basically, the $204 per single family home per year (essentially an extension of Measure A) would continue. The immediate $3.5 million cut to DJUSD would not occur, because Prop. 30 would pass. And then the courts would sort out which parts of Prop. 30 and Prop. 38 would take precedence, depending on which one got the most votes.

I regard these scenarios as longshots, since there is very little indication that Prop. 38 is going to pass. It's never had a lead in the polls (at best a statistical tie), and it's been running behind in all the recent surveys.
