Talk explores color, race among American Jews

All are welcome to hear a discussion Sunday about the growing diversity of color within contemporary Jewry in America, which also distinguishes among some of the different “black Jews” often referred to in the media.

The Adult Education Committee of Congregation Bet Haverim presents its final event of the year when UC Davis sociology professor Bruce Haynes presents a discussion titled “Black, Jewish and Multiracial: Exploring Color and Race Among American Jews” from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the CBH Social Hall, 1715 Anderson Road.

Light refreshments served after the presentation and discussion.
