The Yolo County Health Department and the Network for a Healthy California encourage families to fill half their plates with healthy foods and learn healthy habits, such as making the switch to healthier beverages and being physically active. With that message, they will be providing interactive activities and information for all ages at the Yolo County Fair on Friday.
Spa water and smoothie recipes will be distributed at their booth and all are invited to try some of the smoothies made using the Network for a Healthy California’s pedal-powered smoothie blender. Smoothies will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the booth, located next to the Fun Barn.
The fair runs through Sunday at the fairgrounds on Gum Avenue in Woodland. Admission is free.
