Taste specialty foods at open houses

By From page A5 | November 15, 2012

Z Specialty Food welcomes visitors at its third annual open house, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and again Saturday, Dec. 8. In addition to live music by The Jonny Gold Trio, raffles and giveaways, all of the company’s award-winning products will be open for tasting and purchasing at discounted prices at the company’s warehouse, 1250-A Harter Ave. in Woodland.

“For the past few years, we have been reaching out to our local community and neighbors,” says Josh Zeldner, one of the family owners. “We have so much fun introducing everyone to our wide range of products and the response has been wonderful. More people show up every year.”

Among the products open for tasting are varietal honeys, honey fruit spreads, natural nut butters, chocolate nut spreads, Cowboy Caviar vegetable spreads and honey straws.

Z Specialty Food is home to Moon Shine Trading Company, Island of the Moon Apiaries and Cowboy Caviar.
