Tasting event benefits Yolo Land Trust

A Day in the Country, an annual tasting event that supports the Yolo Land Trust, will take place Sunday, Sept. 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Old Sugar Mill, 35265 Willow Ave. in Clarksburg.

The event features local foods prepared by Northern California chefs, as well as tastings from Yolo County growers, ranchers, breweries and vineyards.

Yolo Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to preserve the agricultural and natural resource heritage of Yolo County, according to the Yolo Land Trust website.

Admission to A Day in the Country is $85 for adults and $20 for children. Registration is due by Aug. 31 and may be completed online at yololandtrust.org/dayincountry.php.
