Tastings to benefit organic farming foundation

The Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St. in downtown Davis, will host wine and beer tastings in April, May and June to benefit the Organic Farming Research Foundation. The first beer tasting is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The cost is $1 per taste, or $5 to taste the slate.

The Organic Farming Research Foundation cultivates organic research, education and federal policy that bring more farmers and acreage into organic production. Founded in 1990, the organiztion is a leading champion of American organic family farmers.
