Visitors to the Davis Art Center Second Friday ArtAbout reception were able to see the finished results of the summer-long Off the Grid project on momentum. Community members created the various tiles during the summer using a variety of mediums. Guests also saw “Moving Parts,” the mural that has been under transform since artist Mark Rivera first color-washed the canvases in swaths of blue during the opening of the exhibit almost two months ago. That piece of artwork — created with Margo Mullen, Camille Shea-Lichter and Rachel Hartsough — is for sale. All proceeds will go to support the continuation of the Discovery Art Program.
