The Yolo Basin Foundation is offering a one-day mosaic tile workshop with local artist Donna Billick on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This workshop is one of the “Gaggle of Gatherings” fundraising events that support the environmental education activities for all ages offered by the foundation.

Participants will join Billick at her Rock Art Studio in Davis, where she will introduce the day with a talk about her mosaic works and community build projects.

Then, everyone will have the opportunity to create a 12-by-12-inch mosaic tile or stepping stone. No experience is necessary and all supplies are included. Design templates will be available, or participants may bring their own ideas for a unique piece. Lunch will be provided.

The workshop costs $80 per person, and proceeds will go toward the foundation’s wetlands education programs. Registration is available online at www.yolobasin.org. For more information, contact Joy Elson at [email protected] or call 530-757-3780.
