Mark your calendars!
The second annual Davis Music Festival is fast approaching. The daylong extravaganza, which takes place across seven venues in downtown Davis and features 46 bands, runs from noon to midnight Saturday, June 23.
The event, organized by the nonprofit organization Music Only Makes Sense, will raise funds to benefit local elementary, middle and high school arts, music and performing arts programs.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, available at Armadillo Music, 205 F St. in Davis and online at www.davismusicfest.com.
Last year’s debut festival was a great success, organizers said, but this year ups the ante. An estimated 1,000 people are expected to attend and put Davis on the map as a music festival destination.
Concertgoers will receive a wristband that gives them access to every venue — the Armadillo Music stage, G Street Wunderbar, Delta of Venus, Little Prague, Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, Odd Fellows Hall and Luigi’s.
A wide array of music genres will be featured, including folk, bluegrass, electronic, rock and metal. For a full list a bands and more information, visit www.davismusicfest.com or www.facebook.com/davismusicfest.
