Tickets are on sale now for the Winters Farm to School’s third annual Bastille Day Feast, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12. More than 200 guests are expected to gather at one, long table elegantly set under the canopy of 150-year-old olive trees lining the drive at the historic Wolfskill Ranch in Winters.
Tickets sold out last year, so those wanting to attend should purchase their tickets early. Tickets are $100 each and must be purchased in advance, either at www.brownpapertickets.com or at Pacific Ace Hardware, 35 Main St. in Winters.
This year’s fundraiser promises to be an afternoon filled with delicious food, beautiful surroundings and delightful conversations among old and new friends. Starting the event will be a tour of the ranch followed by aperitifs, wine and locally brewed beer from Berryessa Brewing Company in Winters.
The feast will featuring Rominger Ranch lamb prepared five ways; locally sourced fruits, nuts and produce; and a special dessert featuring olive oil cake with crème fraiche. A selection of fine wines from Yolo County wineries will be poured throughout the meal.
Winters Farm to School was launched in 2011 with the mission to purchase local, fresh fruits, nuts and produce for Winters’ school food programs. For more information about this event or the organization, call 530-795-6109.
