Tickets to Heinig memorial service will be available at the door
Tickets for Scott Heinig’s memorial service Tuesday evening at UC Davis’ Freeborn Hall will be distributed at the door, UC Davis officials announced today. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets will be limited by the hall’s capacity, the university announced. Freeborn seats between 300 and 1,300 people, depending on configuration.
Heinig, 22, a 2006 Davis High School graduate and 2010 UCD graduate, was a baseball standout at both schools. He was a captain of the Aggie baseball team in his senior season. He died Sunday, April 17, after suffering a head injury at a private house party in Davis the night before.
At the family’s request, no cameras or recording devices will be permitted inside the hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Scott Heinig Youth Baseball Fund at P.O. Box 316, Davis, CA 95617.
