A cadre of parents worked all year to host a bang-up party for all of Davis’ high school graduates on Friday evening at Emerson Junior High School. The party theme, “Time Machine,” was carried out in multiple ways, from a “Twilight Zone” entrance to a Dr. Who lobby to a Roaring ’20s casino.

Decorations transform the school into a party palace, with the girls and boys bathrooms always a showpiece. Here, Adriana Jimenez admires the 1920s “flapper” design in the girls bathroom; her daughter Ale Ruiz Jimenez graduated Friday night. The Prohibition era was realized in the decor of the boys bathroom, which featured cutouts of outlaws and “wanted” posters for Davis High School administrators and teachers.
