The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance invites people enrolled in Medicare and Medi-Cal, caregivers and providers of senior services in Yolo County to a town hall meeting Monday, Nov. 26. The meeting will run from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Blanchard Room at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.
The state of California is proposing to move those “dual enrolled” in Medicare and Medi-Cal to managed care in the next year. In Yolo County, this managed care would be provided by Partnership HealthPlan of California, based in Fairfield. Those affected are invited to come and hear from representatives and ask questions.
Panelists will include Yolo County Supervisor Jim Provenza, chairman of the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance; Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, D-Davis, chairwoman of Assembly Long Term Care Committee; David McCallum, marketing manager for Partnership Advantage, a Medicare Advantage program offered by Partnership HealthPlan; Dr. Richard Fleming, regional medical director of Partnership HealthPlan; and Kim Suderman, director of the Yolo County Department of Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Services.
