Holiday treasure trove

Joining a throng of young shoppers, Ella Obegi, 6, looks for presents with helper Katelyn Dixon of Alpha Phi Omega at UCD at the Davis Art Center’s children’s store, 1919 F St., on Friday. The store, which allows children to purchase locally, handmade items, wraps up Sunday. Final hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year more than 50 Girl Scouts from local troops participated in the elves workshops, making 300 items from recycled materials.
