Trust fund established for young crash victims’ family

A trust fund has been established for the family of two Clarksburg children who were killed in a vehicle crash earlier this month.

Alexander Guzman, 5, and Angel Guzman, 2, died July 11 after the car driven by their mother Imelda Guzman ran off the road and struck a tree on rural Jefferson Boulevard. Imelda Guzman was seriously injured in the accident, which investigators say involved neither excessive speed nor alcohol or drugs.

Carl’s Jr., where Imelda Guzman works as a shift supervisor, has established a trust fund at Wells Fargo Bank to assist with the family’s expenses from the tragedy, company spokeswoman Laura Raymer said. The account number for the Imelda Guzman Trust Fund is 1378586455.

“Everyone knows that times are economically hard for people, but all of us who are parents physically share this family’s pain,” Raymer said in an email. “Any contribution your readers might generously donate would be of great benefit to this grief-stricken family.”
