More than 700 athletes will gather this weekend in Davis for the 2014 Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games.
Events featured are track and field, swimming, bocce and tennis. All events are free, on the UC Davis campus and open to the public.
On Friday, track and field events will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Toomey Field. Bocce competition will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Howard Field. Tennis events will run from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Welch Center. Swimming events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Schaal Aquatics Center.
Events continue Sunday at their same locations with track and field from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., bocce from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., tennis from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. and swimming from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
