A cappella show planned Friday at UC Davis

The Afterglow of UC Davis have a special show for Valentine’s Day coming up in coordination with the UC Men’s Octet of UC Berkeley. This joint concert at 8 p.m. Friday also will feature the UC Davis Spokes and UC Santa Cruz Hightones.

“An Intimate Evening with the Glowmen” will take place in Sciences Lecture Hall 123 on the UC Davis campus. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

The Afterglow will be at all three dining commons as well as the Memorial Union at various times leading up to the show, so be sure to check the group’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/UCDAfterglow for more information. The event page is at http://on.fb.me/IntimateEvening.

The Afterglow is UC Davis’ only all-male a cappella group and specializes in barbershop, rock, pop, rhythm and blues, jazz and swing. The group performs on campus and in the community, singing at concerts, benefits, banquets, fundraisers, weddings and receptions.
