Cats needed for veterinary study

By From page A3 | May 11, 2014

A UC Davis professor of veterinary medicine is seeking pet owners willing to volunteer their aging cats for a study.

Alonso Guedes is conducting research to identify painkillers for cats suffering joint pain due to osteoarthritis. Owners who have noticed mobility impairment in their cat aged 10 years or older may contact [email protected] to see if their pets qualify.

All study related costs — like office visits, blood work and study drugs — will be free of charge for participating owners.
