Making a difference
Ezen Choo and Molly Suarez invite students and staff to give back at last year’s Together We Can drive. The annual canned food drive, sponsored by the Cal Aggie Student Alumni Association, returns this week on the UC Davis campus. SAA volunteers are collecting canned goods as well as monetary donations outside the Memorial Union. All proceeds will go to The Pantry, a student-run food bank that opened a year ago on campus. Since then, The Pantry has given out more than 9,500 food items so no student has to go hungry. Community members can help by bringing canned goods to the Aggie basketball doubleheader Saturday. Tip-off for the women’s game versus UC Riverside is 1 p.m. followed by the men versus Long Beach State at 4 p.m. For more information, email [email protected]
