The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble will kick off its second season with Shakespeare’s most magical comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The human and fairy worlds collide in this hilarious and enchanted adventure through the forest inspired by what makes Davis one-of-a-kind — bicycles.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, Sept. 15-Oct. 2, plus a 2 p.m. matinee as well on Sundays, at the Arboretum Gazebo on the UC Davis campus.
The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble presents full-length Shakespearean productions and educational workshops in Davis and throughout Yolo County.
“We are committed to producing shows in unconventional theatrical spaces and work in collaboration with the UC Davis Arboretum to present Shakespeare’s works in a unique and exciting outdoor setting,” a spokeswoman said.
