Pepper-sprayed UCD student featured on TV show
An Occupy UC Davis protester and a manufacturer of pepper spray will be part of the “hot headlines” segment on CBS’ health-and-wellness talk show, “The Doctors,” on Friday.
The segment, during which the doctors “discuss the health and safety concerns associated with the use and misuse of pepper spray,” will include a taped phone interview with David Buscho, a senior, and an interview with David Nance from Security Equipment Corporation, the manufacturers of SABRE Red pepper spray.
The syndicated show airs on KOVR, Channel 13, at 2 p.m.
Buscho who was one of about a dozen protesters sprayed at close range by UC Davis police officers using another brand of pepper spray, Defense Technology MK-9, on Nov. 18, an incident that remains under investigation.
