The early registration deadline for the Stride for Aggie Pride 5-kilometer road race has been extended until April 4. The race, set for Sunday, May 18, will generate funds for student scholarships.
Those who sign up through April 4 will receive a registration discount and be guaranteed availability of a running shirt.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. with warm-up activities on the Quad. The race is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start. The course will wind through the Arboretum and other scenic areas of the campus. Strollers and pets are welcome.
The event will also include family activities, information booths, live music and student performances. Participants will be eligible for prize drawings.
Early registration fees: $5 for children ages 12-under, $7 for students, $20 for non-students. Registration fees from April 4 to race day: $10 for youth, $15 for students, $30 for non-students. Weekend parking is free on campus.

Last year, Stride for Aggie Pride drew more than 1,700 runners. It raised nearly $17,500 for scholarships offered through the Associated Students of UC Davis and We Are Aggie Pride, a student-run organization that provides emergency funds for students in need, according to a UCD news release.
