UC Davis’ Youth Programs invites parents and their kids to join in on another fun-filled summer. Registration is open for all summer camps and will continue until individual camps are full.
Enhancements have been made to many camps, including “Craft Sampler,” “Woodworking” and “Metalworking” to help participants learn specific skills and techniques while creating projects they will love showing off to their friends and family.
This year, even more camps will be offered through a partnership with the UCD School of Education. In addition to Beginning and Advanced Robotics, participants can choose “Animation Maniacs” to learn about story writing, character development and design using computer software programs.
Participants also can learn about the stars and solar system in “Star Navigators” or learn design and engineering skills in several engineering camps. All programs are taught by credentialed teachers.
Youth Programs offers a large variety of camps for kids, as well as teens. Teens can learn useful skills in the Leaders in Training camp, or experience a rafting or backpacking adventure. This year, teens also can take CPR and first-aid classes and earn their certification by the end of these one-day courses.
To sign up, visit the online store at http://myrecreation.ucdavis.edu, create a profile, and enroll in any selected camps. For more information, call (530) 754-4304 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
