Congregation Bet Haverim will celebrate 50 years of Jewish community in Davis and Yolo County with a Jewish Food Festival, planned for Sunday, Sept. 30, in Davis’ Central Park.
Sponsors and vendors for the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., are being recruited now. The Jewish holiday of Sukkot begins at sundown on Sept. 30.
Along with food and entertainment, there will be a Bet Haverim booth featuring the Sukkot holiday, as well as a display of photos and other memorabilia from Bet Haverim’s 50 years in Davis. In addition, art made by congregants and crafts and photos from the Religious School and Gan Haverim are planned.
Vendors are invited to showcase Jewish food and other items related to Jewish culture. For more information, contact Joy Cohan at (530) 383-1814 or [email protected].
