Video game publisher will speak to Linux group

On Monday, May 19, the Linux Users’ Group of Davis will host a talk by Adam Rippon, creative director at Muteki Corp., an Emeryville-based video game publisher. He will discuss his experiences porting their commercial PlayStation 3 and Vita title, “Dragon Fantasy 2,” to the open source “Simple DirectMedia Layer” platform, for the purpose of releasing the game for Windows, Linux and other platforms.

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis. For details, visit www.lugod.org, email [email protected] or call Bill Kendrick at 530-902-7416.
