Videos help frame Mideast peace challenges

Is peace possible?

That is the question asked in four short videos, to be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in the Social Hall at Congregation Bet Haverim, 1715 Anderson Road in Davis.

Israel Peace Alternatives will present this special report on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, created by The Atlantic and the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace, in the form of four 13-minute videos.

The four videos — on borders, security, Jerusalem and refugees — put viewers at the negotiating table. Drawing on the collective wisdom of former negotiators and military officials, politicians and legal scholars, architects and urban planners, the videos lay out the genuine concerns of both sides, determine the real obstacles to achieving peace, and explore potential solutions to these seemingly intractable challenges.

This event is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by J Street Davis. For more information, visit www.ispeacepossible.com, www.jstreet.org or www.bethaverim.org.

J st. harms Israel by lying about the 'palestinians', invented in the 1960's. They have developed a false narrative due to their inability to process facts. Please don't take my word for it. Educate yourselves! Israel Palestinian Conflict: The Truth About the West Bank Israel's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon explains the historical facts relating to the Israeli Palestinian conflict. The video explains where the terms "West Bank", "occupied territories" and "67 Borders" originated and how they are incorrectly used and applied. Also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGYxLWUKwWo

Prosor: UN a tool of Palestinian propaganda "The UN is used as a tool in the service of Palestinian propaganda. Instead of trying to end the campaign of Palestinian incitement against Israel, the UN provides a stage for Palestinian productions for the media," Prosor said. http://www.jpost.com/Diplomacy-and-Politics/Prosor-UN-a-tool-of-Palestinian-propaganda-338498

The latest word from the 'palestinians' (read: Arabs). "Moderate" "Palestinian" Authority President Abbas refers to jihad murderers as "heroes" four times in speech (video) "Of course, Israel cannot be expected to negotiate with anyone who is dedicated to its destruction. But while I know you have had differences with the Palestinian Authority, I believe that you do have a true partner in President Abbas..." -- Barack Obama, March 21, 2013 http://www.jihadwatch.org/2014/01/moderate-palestinian-authority-president-abbas-refers-to-jihad-murderers-as-heroes-four-times-in-spe.html
