Audrey Lippman and Joyce Wilson, from left, chat with friends at the Village Feast on Saturday in Central Park. The annual event benefits the Davis Farm to School Connection, which supports the Davis Joint Unified School District in maintaining school gardens, recycling programs and local food in school lunches. At the feast, guests sat at linen-draped tables and enjoyed lunch served family-style. The Provençal-inspired menu featured produce from local farmers prepared by Buckhorn Catering. Village Feast is modeled after “Le Grand Aioli,” the food lovefest that is a summer tradition of Provence, France. This event brings the community together around a local, farm-fresh meal during August. Guests bring their own plates, flatware and cloth napkins. Live music and a silent auction rounded out the event. Wayne Tilcock/Enterprise photo
