Dawn Calciano, water conservation coordinator for the city of Woodland, will offer an update on the community’s water conservation efforts at June’s meeting of the Woodland Senior Center Computer Club. The event starts at 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, at the Senior & Community Center, 2001 East St. in Woodland.

Calciano will describe the Woodland water system, review current water conservation efforts and offer tips on outdoor water savings.

Club meetings are open to the public; club membership is $12 per year prorated monthly. Light refreshments will be served.

A brief business meeting beginning at noon will precede her talk. The agenda will include information on the club’s annual fundraiser, the Fourth of July Ice Cream Social, which draws hundreds of people to the Senior Center on July 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. for ice cream and toppings and cookies; dancing by a new troupe of local children; drawings for a variety of prizes donated by local merchants; and a special salute to veterans of the armed services.

Admission will be $2 per person, which goes to support club computer supplies and updates.
