Water policy public forum at library

Saving California Communities will host a community forum about sustainable water policy from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, in the Blanchard Room of the Stephens Branch Library, 315 14th St. It is free and open to the public.

State Senator Lois Wolk, Yolo County Supervisor Jim Provenza, Jay Ziegler of the Nature Conservancy, David Guy of the Northern California Water Association, Tim O’Halloran of the Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and Jim Mayer of California Forward will lead the discussion. Speakers will dialogue about Yolo’s water supply and its general condition, the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, current legislative proposals for a state water bond, and sustainable water practices.

The event is co-sponsored by the Yolo County Democratic Party and the Republican Party of Yolo County.
