A web design workshop will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St. Students will learn to make and personalize their own websites. No programming experience is necessary. The fee is $40.
Students will first learn the basic concepts of the Web: browsers, Web pages and Web servers. They will then see demonstrated easy-to-use interactive design tools such as Dreamweaver and also more fundamental hand-coding such as text editing and HTML.
Participants will be able to leave the workshop with a website, up and running for themselves, their businesses or their teams.
Current advanced UC Davis design students will be the instructors.
The class is designed for participants age 13 and older, but younger students may be included with the instructors’ permission.
The workshop is produced by Davis Code Camp, a new venture for computer education in Davis. For more information, call the Art Center at 530-756-4100.
