By From page A4 | August 02, 2013

The Winters Chamber of Commerce will offer the last agritour of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Participants will visit Henry’s Bullfrog Bees farm and the Inn at Park Winters on County Road 26.

Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at Steady Eddy’s, 5 E. Main St. in downtown Winters, for a beverage and pastry, then leave at 9:30 a.m. for Henry’s Bullfrog Bees farm to hear a presentation by Henry and Robin Harlan, owners and beekeepers.

The Harlans will share their knowledge of and experiences with beekeeping and pollination services, then visitors will have a chance to taste honey made by Henry’s bees. They also will learn about local raw, all-natural honey, and the extracting and bottling process of pure honey products.

The next stop is the Inn at Park Winters, where owner John Martin will greet the group and lead them on a tour of the property and the historic Victorian home built in 1865. Visitors will have lunch at the inn, prepared by private chef Sharon Kelso.

The tour is an all-inclusive price of $50. For more information or to sign up, call the Chamber office at 530-795-2325.
