Wisdom Circle will gather Thursday

By From page A8 | October 06, 2013

The Active Older Adult Wisdom Circle is an ongoing discussion group that meets regularly on the second Thursday of each month to explore aspects of the conscious aging movement, seeking to mine the wisdom of long lives and find effective ways to share and pass on legacies.

Rabbi Zalman Schacter-Shalomi and Ronald Miller’s book, “From Age-ing to Sage-ing,” serves as a guide for discussion and activities. This month’s invited guest speaker is Sheila Allen, R.N., executive director of the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance.

The group meets from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Blanchard Room at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. All are welcome; no reservations are required.
