Dick Berry and Wanda Winton invite you to put your coins and bills in the Salvation Army kettle to help the needy this holiday season. But before those donations begin flowing in, volunteer bell-ringers are being recruited to man the kettles between Monday, Dec. 2, and Monday, Dec. 23. To sign up for a shift at the Davis post office, contact Toni Smith at tonismith2312@gmail.com or 530-574-6052. To snag a shift in front of CVS/pharmacy, contact Berry at dick@davisbellringers.com or 530-753-6437. Or, visit www.schedule.davisbellringers.com. Money deposited in the red kettle is used for the annual back-to-school shopping spree for 75 Davis children, food vouchers at Save Mart and grocery gift cards for STEAC holiday baskets.
